Steve Gerber

This is just a short piece.
Since I was about six I've read comics. I've tried them all: classics, westerns, war, superheroes, etc. When I grew up (a bit) I started noticing the work of different artists, then a few of the writers. I have to admit that these were mostly British guys, but along the way a few American writers sneaked in.
One of the most amazing of these was Steve Gerber. He had such a fund of unusual and luminous ideas. Man-Thing and Howard the Duck were my favourite comics during Steve's spell in the writing seat.
Now, sadly, he's gone.
My prayers and good wishes go out to his family and friends. He was the life and soul of the Comic Party, and he will be missed.

Jazz on a Spring Morning

New posting coming really, really soon!

(A short poem - just for practice)

Jazz on a Spring Morning

On the radio something by Miles.
From the window snowdrops in drifts.
She walks in and softly smiles.
On the radio something by Miles.
She picks up the phone, silently dials.
It’s cold. My world dizzily shifts.
On the radio something by Miles.
From the window snowdrops in drifts.
